ABOUT OUR PASTOR
Pastor David Waterstradt
Pastor Waterstradt grew up in Clare, Michigan, a little town in the center of Michigan’s lower peninsula. He’s a 1992 graduate of Northwestern College and finished his training for the ministry at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin. After graduating with a Master of Divinity degree in May of 1996, he was assigned to a mission congregation in Fairmont, Minnesota. During his ministry in Fairmont he was blessed to take part in the formation of another mission congregation in north-central Iowa. In February of 2005, Pastor Waterstradt and his family moved to the south-side of Chicago where he was pastor at Palos Lutheran Church for over 11 years.

On September 11th, 2016, Pastor Waterstradt began his ministry here at Hope Lutheran. He and his family thoroughly enjoy living in Northern California, and Pastor loves serving the saints at Hope.
Pastor and his wife, Ellen, were married in June of 1993 and have been blessed with two sons, Daniel and Nathan. Daniel is studying for the pastoral ministry at Martin Lutheran College in New Ulm, Minnesota, and Nathan is a junior at Del Oro High School in Loomis, CA.
